Let’s change our habits!
Once again this year, North East Dept. is committed to the sustainable development week, which takes place from 1 to 7 April 2010 on the theme of changing our habits.
Operation “Clean Banks”, visits to sorting centres, cafe-debates on the theme of eco-responsibility, etc., will take place throughout the Regional Department’s territory, in partnership with associations and local authorities.
Through its active involvement in this national event, Voies Navigables de France aims to reaffirm its commitment to environmental protection, which started long ago with the promotion of ISO 14001-certified vegetation-based bank renovation techniques and extended thanks to sustainable development certification which, in addition to the environmental aspects, defines the performance levels for activities in terms of safety, human resources management and user satisfaction.
